I recently acquired a few new states as part of my territory. Last week, I found myself in West Virginia, a place I had never visited before. After several hours of meetings and driving, I decided to wander off into nature for a bit. West Virginia was hot and inviting, and I was itching for adventure.

I went online to see what West Virginia had to offer, and I found a waterfall at Valley Falls State Park. I love water. I love the outdoors. I decided to venture off there.

Sometimes, the temptation is maddening.

Finding restaurants, other than fast food venues, can be a bit challenging in the rural areas. I stumbled on a place called The Rambling Root, which seemed like an interesting option.

The venue had character with its quirky sayings, purple piano, and locals engaged in Trivia. By this point, I just wanted to fuel my stomach, head back to my hotel, and finish up some work. Although my quick stint in the wilderness had revived me slightly, my body was numb.

I ordered a gluten-free burger. I was impressed that this little place in the middle of nowhere offered gluten-free options. After eating and admiring this funky spot, off to my hotel I went…
